Michael (The Hairy) Burke

Suddenly, at his home.

Michael, predeceased by his beloved daughter Emma and brother John. Beloved husband of Biddy, and loving father of John, Damien, Michael Jnr, Donnie and Ronan. He will be sadly missed by his loving family, brother William, sisters Annie, Marie, Margaret (Australia), Theresa, Ena (England) & Dolores, grandchildren, Andrew, Shane, Ali, Alex, Aoife, Dylan, & Rian and great-grandson Brody, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law extended family and a wide circle of friends.

May He Rest In Peace

Due to government advice regarding public gatherings a private family funeral will take place on Tuesday with Mass at 11 o’clock in The Church of the Assumption, Coole, Summerhill followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. Those who would have liked to attend the funeral, but due to current restrictions cannot, please leave a personal message for the Burke family in the ‘Condolences’ section below.

­­Michael's funeral cortege will leave his home at 10:30am on Tuesday morning en route to the church, friends and neighbours are very welcome to line that route in a safe and socially distanced manner as a mark of respect.
