Micheál Higgins
Micheál Higgins, “Ronan”, Coshla, Athenry, Co Galway. Peacefully, surrounded by his family, in the wonderful care of the Galway Hospice. Predeceased by his beloved wife Evelyn and son Ronan. His stalwart strength, sharp wit and marvellous positive spirit will be sadly missed by all who were lucky to know him.
He is survived by his sons Kieran and Ger, daughters Sinead and Ethna, grandchildren Hal, Freya and Hope: Indya, Fionn and Oisin: Mia, Oscar, Arthur, Elise and Olwyn: brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, sons and daughters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and many friends. Brother to Sr. Magdalen, Lena, Philomena and the late Mary and Mattie.
Reposing at Gardner’s Funeral Home on Thursday, February 6th, from 5:00pm. Removal at 7:00pm to the Church of the Assumption, Athenry. Requiem Mass on Friday, February 7th, at 12:30pm. Burial afterwards in the New Cemetery, Athenry. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired to Galway Hospice.
