Gallen, Ferbane, Offaly.

Niall passed away peacefully, in the loving care of the staff at Carthage Nursing Home, Mucklagh on November 11th 2024. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Bridie, son Kevin, parents Walter and Louise, sister Una, and brothers Ken and Eric.

Niall's kind and gentle nature will be greatly missed by his children, Ann, Bridie, Robert, Louise and Caroline, son-in-law Niall, daughter-in-law Shona, Ann's partner Willie, and Louise's partner Aran. He leaves behind a legacy of love and joy in his grandchildren, Jason, Darren, Paul, Aoife, Jessica, and Ben, and his great-grandchild Ivy Belle, Niall is also loving remembered by his sisters, Violet Stevenson (Stirling), Geraldine O'Rourke (Dublin), Ruby Burns (Glasgow), Ruth Shearer (Orkney), Sheila Yates, Louise Lindley, Dilys Rothwell (Belfast), brother Robert (England), nephews, nieces, cousins, his good neighbours and friends.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother, Niall's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him. May he Rest in Peace, knowing he brought warmth and light into the lives of so many.

Niall will repose at the Nursing Home on Wednesday (Nov. 13th) from 5.30pm to 7pm.

Removal on Thursday (Nov. 14th) to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ferbane where his Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11am, and may be viewed on http://ferbaneparish.ie. Interment afterwards in Kilrehan Cemetery.
