The Death has occurred of Nora (Noreen) Duffy (nee Lyons) of Oxford,

UK & formerly of Listowel, Co. Kerry. 20th October 2023.

Peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of Headington Care Home.

Predeceased by her husband, Jimmy Duffy formerly of Rathlee Co. Sligo and Oxford, and her sisters Peggy, Mary and Betty and brother Dan.

Beloved mother of John, Jimmy, Annette, Christy and Bridget, she was a wonderful mum and an inspirational woman.

Noreen will be deeply missed by her sons, daughters, sisters Joan and Marie, brother Johnny, extended family of in-laws, nieces and nephews and wide circle of friends. A wonderful grandmother to Annette, Tara, Sean, Eilish, Cian, Fin, Claudia, Dominic, Liam, Roisin, Mairead, Jimmy and Mikey, as well as great grandmother to Noah and Fiadh.

 

May she rest in God’s loving care.

 

Reposing at McGowans Funeral Home on Friday 17th November from 5pm with removal at 6.30pm to The Star of the Sea, Church, Rathlee, arriving at 7.15pm

Requiem Mass on Saturday Morning 18th November at 11am followed by burial in Roslea Cemetery.
