NOREEN CAHILL
(née MacMahon)

Cahill (nee MacMahon) Noreen. Glenbrack, Gort, Co. Galway and late of Kinvara. Slipped away peacefully on the 22nd of July 2021, surrounded by her heartbroken family and in the tender care of the staff of the I.C.U Galway University Hospital. 

Predeceased by her beloved parents and brothers Eoin & Michéal. It is with broken hearts and many tears we announce the passing of our beloved Noreen. Cherished and much loved, she will be sadly missed by her husband and best friend Ignatius. Adored by her loving sons Richard and Gavin. Always remembered by her sisters Carmel, Síobhan, Eílish, Aoife and brother Brian, brothers in law, sisters in law, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, wonderful neighbours, loyal friends and by the extended Cahill and MacMahon families.

Due to current restrictions to help prevent the spread of Covid-19, Noreen’s funeral will be held in private, in line with current restrictions. 

Private Requiem Mass for family only will take place in St. Colman’s Church, Gort on Saturday, 24th of July, at 12 o’ clock. Funeral will be streamed live on The Gort Parish Facebook Page and on this link
https://vimeo.com/event/1157161. Noreen will be laid to rest afterwards in St. Colman’s Cemetery, Gort. Flowers welcome as Noreen loved flowers or donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Patient Comfort Fund I.C.U University Hospital Galway. Please note the funeral cortège will leave her home at 11.30am and travel via Glenbrack, Galway road, Crowe St, the Market Square and onwards to the church. Those intending to line the route of the funeral cortège are asked to please social distance and refrain from handshaking at all times.
