Owen Heffernan Snr.

It is with great sadness that Owen’s family share the news of his death. He died peacefully at Galway University Hospital on Sunday, 14 January following excellent care in St. Anne's Ward and at the Mystical Rose Nursing Home where he resided happily enjoying the company of the staff and residents.

Predeceased by his dearly beloved wife Anne and siblings Della, Nora, Pete, Thomas, Ger and Michael Joe. Deeply mourned by his sons and daughters, Paula, Sean, Brian, Olivia and Owen Jnr. and by their families including his much loved grandchildren Alyssa, Callum, Evie, Saoirse and Sienna, by his sister Margaret, brothers Sean and James and their families, relatives and friends.

Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour Munster Avenue, Galway (H91V1K8) on Thursday, 18 January from 4 p.m. with removal at 5.30 p.m. to arrive at St. Joseph’s Church, Presentation Road at 6 o’clock. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Owen Snr., on Friday, 19 January at 11 a.m. and following Mass he will be laid to rest with Anne in Rahoon Cemetery.
