PADDY FAHY

FAHY Patrick better known as Paddy. Ballyaneen, Kiltartan, Gort, Co. Galway. Peacefully at home on the 25th of July, 2024, surrounded by love and in the tender care of his devoted family. Current President of Gort Hurling Club and former Captain and President of Gort Golf Club.

Pre-deceased by his beloved parents Kate and Thomas.

Cherished and much loved, Paddy will be sadly missed by his loving wife Agnes, by his sons David, Ollie, Tom & Joe, daughter Marie, daughters-in-law Jane and Asa, son in-law Ian by Ollie’s partner Teresa Brady and by his grandchildren Oisin, Coley, Jasper, Alvin, Jessica and Kate. Fondly remembered by his brother Tom, sister’s Sr. De Lourdes and Rena, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, by the extended Fahy and Tannian family’s, great neighbours, many friends and by all his comrades in Gort Hurling Club and Gort Golf Club.

Paddy will lie in repose in Seomra Ciúin, within Gort Town Hall, Church Street, Gort, (H91 E0C8) on Saturday evening, July 27th , from 6pm until 7.30 pm. Private removal on Sunday July 28th with the Funeral cortege arriving to St. Attractas Church Kiltartan in advance of Requiem Mass at 1.30pm. Paddy will be laid to rest afterwards in Kiltartan New Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to The Galway Hospice Foundation. House private on Sunday Please.
