Pádraig (Paddy) Ó Fearaíl (O’Farrell) of Sliabh Chualann, Bré, Co. Chill Mhantáin. Faoi chúram cineálta fhoireann Theach Altrannais Naomh Iosaif, an tSeanchill, ar an 27ú Meitheamh 2023 agus é in aois 89 bliana ar an lá sin. Imithe roimhe, tá a bhean chéile Áine, (née Roche) a iníon Claire, a thuismitheoirí Tom agus Alice, chomh maith lena dheirfiúr Colette Griffin agus a dheartháireacha Oliver, Frankie agus Vincent. Croíbhriste ina dhiaidh, tá a iníonacha Eithne agus Aoife agus a mhac Ronan; a chliamhain Mark Gogarty agus a bhanchliamhain Kathryn Casey; a gharpháistí Ríona agus Oisín Ó Madagáin; a fhionnó Saoirse, gaolta agus cáirde.
Pádraig spent many years as a court and tribunal stenographer.
He also pioneered a course in machine stenography.
He promoted the Irish language and was closely involved in the founding of the Gaelscoil in Bray, as well as the An Béal Binn club. Pádraig was also a member of Cór Chualann, in the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, Bray.
He was editor of Conradh na Gaeilge periodical, ROSC
and was the author of the book ‘Our Bray’.
He will be sorely missed.
Funeral Mass on Monday (3rd July) at 10.00am in the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, Main Street, Bray, A98 E5D7, followed by burial in Springfield Cemetery, Killarney Road, Bray. The Mass may also be viewed online at churchservices.tv/redeemerbray. Family flowers only please. Contributions to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland would be appreciated.
