Pat Walsh

The death has occurred of Pat Walsh, (Granda Pat), of Charlies, Currane, Achill, Co. Mayo, on 18th April 2024, peacefully in Mayo University Hospital, after a short illness, in the presence of his devoted family. Lovingly remembered by his children, Geralyn, Mary, Martina, Peter and Treasa Óg. Predeceased by his wife Treasa.

He will be sadly missed by all, especially his cherished grandchildren, Sam, his wife Izzy, Jack, Chris, Rían, Emily, Lucy, Molly, Finn and Ruby . He will also be deeply missed by his sons-in-law, Mick, Mike, Alan and daughter-in-law Kelly, his many nieces, nephews, extended family, his wonderful friends and neighbours and his wide circle of sea angling comrades who meant the world to him.

He is at peace now and reunited with his beloved Treasa.

Pat will be waked at home in Charlies, Currane, F28 TN67 from 7pm on 19th April followed by mass at 10 a.m. on Sunday, 21st April in Our Lady Queen of the Universe Church in Currane, and burial in Achill Sound Cemetery.

Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on Muintir a Chorrain Facebook page.

Pat’s family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to the nursing and medical staff in Ward D, Mayo University Hospital.
