Patrick (Paddy) Connolly

The death has occurred of Patrick ‘Paddy’ Connolly, Shiloh, Ballybay Road, Carrickmacross and formerly Drumod, Co. Monaghan, peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda Friday 5th January 2024 in his 88th year.

Predeceased by his son Patrick, grandson Padraig, his parents Peter and Mary, his brothers, Jim, Matt, Pete, John, Canon Philip, and sisters Nan, Ena, Josie, Cassie, Angela and Madge.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Úna, sons Vincent, Peter, Philip and Dermot, daughters-in-law Mary, Jean, Orla and Caroline, grandchildren Sinéad, Ciarán, Siobhán, Micheál, David, Amy, Paul, Lydia, Sarah, Cassie, Luke and Daniel, great-grandchildren Fionán, Cathal, Saoirse, Ruairí, Emily, Jack and Rose, brother Monsignor Vincent Connolly PE (Smithboro), sister-in-law Madeline, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Deerys Funeral Home, Carrickmacross (A81 C653) on Sunday from 2pm to 6pm. Removal on Monday morning from Deery’s Funeral Home on foot at 10.30am to St. Joseph’s Church, Carrickmacross (A81 K253) arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Bawn (A75 FY98). Anyone wishing to leave a message for the family may do so in the condolence section below please.
