Peter (Petie) Burke

In the early hours of Sunday, 6 October Peter passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his 91st year at home and with his much-loved family by his side.

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Ellen and by his siblings Nonie, Mary Joe and Annie, John Joseph, Michael, baby Peter, Jack, Paddy and Mattie and by his niece Maureen Duggan whose home he resided in.

Petie will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his sister Sarah (England), Michael Duggan and all the Duggan family, brother-in-law Willie, many nieces, nephews and relatives, lovely neighbours and friends including the wider Oranmore community.

Reposing at ‘Tearmann Mhuire’ within the grounds of the Church of the Immaculate Conception Oranmore (H91XC61) on Tuesday, 8 October, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Petie on arrival at the Church on Wednesday, 9 October, at 12 noon. Following Mass he will be laid to rest in Rinville Cemetery, Oranmore. Mass will be broadcast on the Church webcam https://www.oranmoreparish.org/live/ and also on Parish radio 105.3 FM in the local area.
