Rena CARTY
(née Mulligan)
RENA CARTY (née Mulligan) Araghty, Athleague, Co Roscommon. June 14th, 2024; (Peacefully), in her 97th year, in the devoted care of the staff at The Sacred Heart Hospital, Roscommon. Beloved wife of the late Paddy and adored mother to Helen and Lucy. Rena will be very sadly missed by her daughters, son-in-law Andrew Ely, grandsons Noel, Lochlainn and Patrick, sister Sr. Cuthbert FMDM, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many good friends.
May Her gentle soul rest in peace.
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Sunday evening from 5 o’c until 6.30 o’c. Removal from her home in Araghty on Monday morning at 11 o’c arriving to St Patrick’s Church, Athleague for Mass of the Resurrection at 11.30 o’c. Burial afterwards in Athleague Cemetery.
The Carty family would sincerely like to thank the staff at the Sacred Heart Hospital for the wonderful care and dignity shown to them and to Rena during her time there. They also would like to acknowledge their friends and neighbours for their kindness at this time.
