Roy Graham

Mr Robert Pollock (Roy) Graham 

Red Deer County, Alberta, Canada

Passed away at home at the age of 85 years just shy of his birthday.

Roy was born on July !2th 1937 to Alexander and Annie Graham and raised in Griggy, Monaghan, Ireland.

He was the fifth child in  a family of seven, he had five brothers and one sister

Roy was around fourteen when he left school to work in Crawfords of the Diamond, a hardware shop in Monaghan until he was twenty-seven and decided to follow his brother, Dr Kenneth Graham to Canada.

Later Roy met Estella Lewis and they married on November 30th 1973. Together Roy and Estella built up a large farm and feedlot over the coming years.

They both loved to organise events, raising funds for Senior's Care and Red Deer Hospital. Their home was always welcoming and they loved hosting family and friends from Ireland and showing them the beautiful country of Canada.

Roy will be lovingly remembered by his sister Dorothy and her husband Wesley (Athy), his stepdaughter Diane Lewis  (Innisfail) his son in law Jim and Eileen Laverick (Edmonton), his daughter in law Barb Lewis (Innisfail) and his sisters in law Ruth Graham (Tynan), Isobel and Joyce Graham (Ballyalbany) and Elizabeth Robinson (Innisfail).

He will also be deeply missed by his step grandchildren and numerous special nieces and nephews.

Roy was predeceased by his wife Estella, his brothers Bertie and wife Ruth, Dr Ken Graham and his wife Phyllis, Sam, Eddie and Maurice, brother in law, Edgar Robinson and his stepchildren Darlene Laverick, Bill, Steven and Kevin Lewis.

A Funeral service will be held at the Innisfail United Church 4720- 48 Avenue Innisfail, Alberta on Friday June 30th 2023 at 2pm Canada time.8 pm Irish time you can view the service at  www.Innisfailuc.org
