The death has occurred of

Simon BROOKE

Kilmainham, Dublin

Retired Head of Policy at Clúid Housing. Peacefully in the wonderful care of Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross, November 26th 2019, after a year’s illness. Beloved husband of Anna Heussaff and dearly loved father of Conall. Very sadly missed by his sisters Catherine and Liz, brother-in-law Richard, nieces Lucy and Pippa, and loving family circle in Ireland, Britain and other countries, neighbours, former colleagues and many many friends.

 

Wake at home Friday (29 Nov.) from 5.00pm to 7.30pm. Private cremation Saturday morning (30 Nov.) followed by remembrance service at 3pm in the Public Theatre, Trinity College Dublin. People are encouraged to travel by public transport, by bike or on foot. Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to the Irish Hospice Foundation or to MSF, Doctors without Borders.

Cúis mhór bróin dá bhean dhílis Anna Heussaff agus dá mhac Conall, dá dheirfiúracha Catherine agus Liz, a dheartháir céile Richard, a neachtanna Lucy agus Pippa, agus mórchomhluadar grámhar a mhuintire in Éirinn, sa Bhreatain agus i dtíortha eile, comharsana, iar-chomhghleacaithe agus cairde iomadúla.

 

Beidh sé á thórramh sa bhaile Dé hAoine (29 Samhain) ó 5.00in go dtí 7.30in. Créamadh príobháideach maidin Shathairn (30 Samhain) agus seirbhís chuimhneacháin ag 3.00in san Amharclann Phoiblí, Coláiste na Tríonóide. Moltar do dhaoine taisteal ar chóir iompair phoiblí, ar rothar nó de shiúl na gcos. Bláthanna clainne amháin. Is féidir síntiús a thabhairt más mian d’Fhoras Ospíse na hÉireann nó do MSF, Dochtúirí gan Teorainní.
