The death has occurred of Sister Maria Goretti O'Neill, Eblana Avenue, Dun Laoghaire Co. Dublin/ Griffith Avenue, Dublin 9/ Arklow Co. Wicklow.
Sister Maria Goretti died unexpectedly and peacefully, in the loving care of the Staff of Catherine McAuley Nursing Home, Beaumont, Dublin, on 10th June 2024. Predeceased by her parents Thomas O'Neill & Minnie Quartermas, sisters Maureen, Ethna, Ita and Pauline and her brothers Jack, Noel, Brendan and Kevin. Very deeply regretted by her Mercy Community, her nieces and nephews, her grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and her many friends.

Reposing at Sweeney's Funeral Home, Arklow, Eircode Y14 T Y28 on Wednesday June 12, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm. A gathering of friends and family on Thursday at the funeral home, from 9am with removal at 10.30am to St. Mary's & St. Peter’s Church, Arklow. Y14DC52. Arriving for 11am Funeral Mass and can be viewed on the Parish webcam using the following link https://www.arklowparish.ie/webcam/. Burial will take place in the Convent Cemetery, St. Mary's, Arklow.
