Sr. Philomena Lynch

The death has occurred of Sr. Philomena Lynch, Missionary Sisters of the Holy Rosary, Cavan and formerly Grieve, Mount Nugent, Co. Cavan. On Mission in the U.S. A., Kenya and Ireland. Sunday, March 10th 2024, in the loving care of the staff in the Beneavin House Nursing Home, Glasnevin, Dublin. Pre-deceased by her parents, Thomas and Mary Lynch (nee Sheridan), brothers Peter, Michael and Pat, sisters Kathleen, Mary, Eileen, Monica and Bridie. Sr. Philomena will be very sadly missed by her sister Bernie Ginnell, brother Tom, sister in law Kathleen, nieces, nephews, grand and great-grand nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and the Holy Rosary Family.

Sr. Philomena’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Cathedral of Ss Patrick & Felim, Cavan, on Thursday, March 14th, at 11am. Following Mass, the cortege will travel to Cullies Cemetery for committal prayers and burial in the Holy Rosary Sisters Convent plot.
