Thomas Carey

Thomas Carey, Gladree, Belmullet, Co. Mayo, peacefully, at The Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar, surrounded by his loving family on 9th January 2023. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary (née Dooley) and sisters Margaret Forde (Limerick) and Ann Conlon (Prosperous, Co. Kildare). Beloved father of Mark, Annette, Brian, Marie, T.J., Finola, David, Raymond, Padraic, Jacinta and Aishling and dear grandfather to his twenty five adored grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, sons in law, daughters in law, sisters Mary Walsh (Drum, Clogher, Belmullet), Kathleen Lynskey (Rathmorgan, Bangor Erris), Sheila Healy (Castlebar), Sadie Carey (Cork) and Breege McShane (Dublin), brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

May His Kind and Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Remains reposing at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet, on Wednesday evening from 5 o’clock until 8 o’clock. Funeral will arrive at The Church of the Holy Family, Carne, Belmullet, on Thursday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in Tarmoncarra Cemetery.
