Thomas Whelan

Thomas Whelan (Tom), Barrnahowna, Tourmakeady, Co. Mayo, peacefully at Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar, surrounded by his loving family on December 13th, 2022.

Predeceased by his wife Eileen, parents Michael and Bridget, his siblings Paddy, John, Mary, Nora, Martin, Michael, Stephen, Bridie, Pete, Kate, Annie, and his brother-in-Law Martin (Albert) Neary.

Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken family, sons Padraig, Michael and Tommy, daughters Rita and Mary, daughters in law Eileen and Sarah, grandchildren Oisin, Meadhbh, Stephen, Sean and Elouise, sister Eileen, brother-in-law Tom (Tarpey), sister-in-law Patricia, relatives,  neighbours and friends.

Reposing at St. Mary’s Funeral Home, Tourmakeady on Thursday evening from 4:30 pm with removal at 6:30 pm to St. Mary’s Church, Tourmakeady. Requiem Mass on Friday at 11:00 am followed by burial in Churchfield Cemetery.
