The death has occurred of Veronica Shannon (nee Hegarty) at Drumdigus, Kilmurry McMahon, and formerly of Knockatemple, Kilnamona, Co. Clare in her 96th year.
Veronica passed away peacefully after a brief illness bravely borne at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday December 18th 2024.
Predeceased by her late beloved husband Michael, her parents James Joseph and Ellen Hegarty, her sisters Mae Munnelly, Helen O’Brien, her brothers JJ and Michael and her daughter in law Moira.
She will be deeply missed by her loving children Mary (Crimmins), Pat, Seamus, Michael, Eoin and Joseph, son in law Ristéard, daughters in law, Mary, Nora, Siobhán and Michael’s partner Celia, her grandchildren Muireann, Sorcha, Cáit, Robbie, Gerry, Sinead, Aisling, Liam, Mikey, Sarah, Mark, Laura, Ciara, Louise and Aidan, her great grandchildren Coili, Evie, Moira, Aoibhinn and Tommy, her sister in law Nancy Hegarty, her nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Funeral arrangements:
Reposing in St Mary’s Church, Kilmurry Mc Mahon, on Friday evening, December 20th, from 4.30 pm until 7 pm.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 21st, at 12.00 noon with burial afterwards in Kilmurry Mc Mahon Cemetery.
