Alan’s wife Ruth, son Iain, daughter Sarah & all his family wish to extend our heartfelt thanks for the many expressions of comfort & support we received throughout Alan’s funeral & during the weeks since.
Thank you to everyone who visited our home, attended Alan’s removal, funeral Mass & burial, sent Mass cards & letters, shared warm messages & happy memories online & all those who donated to The Peter McVerry Trust www.pmvtrust.ie in Alan’s memory. Special thanks to those who travelled long distances to join us in celebrating Alan’s life, to those who could not be present but joined us via webcam & to those who continue to keep us, & Alan in their thoughts & prayers. A special word of thanks to the ESB who came to our rescue in providing much needed power on the day of Alan’s wake.
Our most sincere thanks to the Arklow Gardaí & the crew of Arklow Ambulance for their compassion & kind assistance on the day Alan passed away.
Thank you to Fr. Brendan Kealy, Fr. Joe Kennedy, Fr. Pádraig Ó’Cochláin, Fr. Dermot Byrne & Fr. Michael Murphy for celebrating such a beautiful funeral Mass, to John Geary for his moving tribute & to The Munro family & Nuala Cronin for such fabulous music throughout the Mass & at Alan’s graveside.
To our wonderful neighbours, our extended families, to friends, old & new & to Alan’s many colleagues who paid their respects in so many different ways, your continued kindness & support will never be forgotten.
Thanks also to the management & staff of The Brass Fox for their hospitality after the funeral, to Jason Porter for tending to the grave & to all at John Sweeney & Sons Funeral Directors.
Trusting that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
