Coolock, Dublin / Clones, Monaghan

The death occurred of Anthony (Tony) Donnelly, Coolock, Dublin 17 & formerly of McCurtain St, Clones, Co. Monaghan, on 18th June 2022, aged 71, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of the Mater Private Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Tony is predeceased by his parents Patrick & Frances, his sister Mary & his brother Patrick.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by his cherished family; his wife Nancy, his daughters Michelle & Edel, his sons-in-law David & Karl, his adored grandchildren Jordan, Nathan and Evie, sisters Kathleen and Eileen, brothers Jackie and Joseph, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and large circle of friends.

Tony’s family would like to thank all of the extended family, friends, work colleagues, and old acquaintances, who visited Tony, attended his wake, funeral Mass and burial, and those who sent flowers and sympathy cards and wrote condolences on RIP.ie.  The family would like to give a special thank you to the Oncology department at Mater Private Hospital, homecare of St Francis Hospice, the professionalism and compassion of Jennings Funeral Directors who guided them through a very tough time and Fr. Joe Jones for not only his friendship but for his thoughts and prayers at the end.

They are deeply grateful for the kindness and compassion shown to not only Tony but to them as they come to terms with their immeasurable loss. It would be impossible to thank everyone, so please accept this as a token of their deepest gratitude.

A Monaghan man to the core, Tony will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. 

Tony’s Month’s Mind Mass will take place on Sunday, 17th June, at 9.30am Mass in St. Joseph the Artisan Church, Bonnybrook/Coolock, D17 R971.
