 Barry Doherty

Ballysimon Crescent, Ballysimon, Limerick

The family of the late Barry Doherty of Ballysimon, formerly Newport and “Breffni” Rhebogue, Limerick wishes to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to us following our very sad loss.

We offer our sincere thanks to the many relatives, friends, work colleagues and neighbours who provided support to Barry and our family during his illness and in the time since he left us on 7th January 2021. For those who telephoned, texted, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences, and for all donations made to Milford Care Centre in Barry’s memory we are truly grateful.

For the well-organised yet compassionate medical care of Barry, we are truly indebted to the teams at Milford Care Centre and UHL Oncology unit.  Thank you to the staff at Lloyds Pharmacy, Parkway Shopping Centre for their help and support.

We thank all who participated in the mass, Fr Irwin and Fr Gibson who conducted a lovely comforting service, Miriam and Jackie for their beautiful music and singing, Caoimhe for playing the violin at Barry’s final resting place, the Readers and Sacristans. Deepest thanks to Paul for his beautiful heartfelt Eulogy.

Thank you to The Flower Studio for the beautiful floral displays and Thompson Funeral Directors for their sensitive and professional handling of arrangements.

To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Barry’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St John’s Cathedral at 12 noon on Sunday, 7th February 2021.
