As we lovingly remember Breeda on her first anniversary, her husband Danny, her children Joseph and Diarmuid, her daughters-in-law and grandchildren and all her extended family would like to express their gratitude to all who sympathised with us and supported us on our very sad loss.
We offer our heartfelt thanks to our extended family, neighbours and friends for the very many acts of kindness. Thanks to those who called to the house, those who brought food and refreshments and those who assisted in any way.
Hundreds of people came to pay their respects to Breeda on Friday 5th January at her Removal in McCarthy's Funeral Home and again at her Holy Requiem Mass on Saturday 6th January.
Family, friends and colleagues took time out of their busy life and travelled to be there. Each handshake, hug, smile, kind word and shared memory brought us great comfort. Thanks to those who travelled long distances to be with us, those who sent sympathy cards, Mass cards, letters of condolences, phone calls and texts.
Our sincere thanks to Very Reverend Paul Bennett for the beautiful Funeral Mass and for his support throughout. To the choir at the Mass and to McCarthy Funeral Home Directors, Banteer for the sensitive and professional manner in which they carried out their duties.
Thanks to the medical and nursing staff who cared for Breeda during her short illness.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually for the multiple kindnesses shown to us, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation and gratitude.
First Anniversary Mass at 11.30 in Banteer, St. Fursey's Church, on Monday 6th January, 2025
