Brendan WARD

 Brendan WARD

Durrow, Offaly

In loving memory of the late Brendan Ward whose 1st Anniversary occurs on 29th July.

The wife and family of Brendan would like to express our sincere thanks to all who sympathised with us on our sad loss.

We offer our sincere thanks to our relatives, friends, neighbours, his many GAA friends and all those who travelled from near and far to attend Brendan's funeral. To those who sent Mass cards, messages of sympathy, phoned our home and placed condolences on RIP.ie, we extend our deepest appreciation.

Our heartfelt thanks to Dr Jerry, Dr Marea and their team at Kilbeggan Medical Centre for their excellent care and attention to Brendan over the years. Thank you to the Doctors, nurses and all staff of Tullamore Hospital who also cared for Brendan on many occasions. Thanks to the staff of Quirke's Medical Hall for all their help and support.

We are indebted to the management and staff of Bethany House for the wonderful care that Brendan received in his final weeks. Their attention and kindness to Brendan and our family will never be forgotten.

We express deep gratitude to Monsignor Sean Heaney, for celebrating such a meaningful funeral mass, for his kind words which were of great comfort to us. Thanks also to Fr Joe Gallagher P.P., Fr Greg Corcoran and Fr Paddy Byrne who concelebrated Brendan's Funeral. Our thanks to all the clergy that visited and prayed with Brendan over the years.

Sincere thanks to the Durrow Choir for their beautiful music and singing and also our sacristans Róisín and Johnny for their assistance in the church.

Our grateful appreciation to Phil O'Reilly Funeral Director for his compassionate and professional handling of the arrangements, and to the grave diggers who carefully prepared his final resting place. We would also like to thank Durrow GAA club for their help and support and all those who formed the guard of honour.

Our thanks to those who brought food to our home and to those who prepared and served refreshments in the hall after Brendan's funeral.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Life is not measured by the years you lived,  But by the love you gave

And the things you did,   A loving smile, a heart of gold

These are the memories we tenderly hold.

Sleep softly now in your eternal home.
