The family of the late Brian Dardis of Clonfad, Kinnegad, Co Westmeath who died on the 15th of August 2023 would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their great loss. We will always remember your kind gestures and words of consolation which were a great comfort to us.

Our sincere gratitude to all who supported us, attended the family home, removal in St. Camillus Chapel, Funeral Mass and burial at St. Agnes' Cemetery in Coralstown. Thank you to all who sent Mass cards, letters, messages of condolence and donations to Aware. To those who travelled such long distances to be with us it was very much appreciated. 

We thank Fr. Tom Gilroy PP, Fr Michael Kelly , Fr Liam Carey, and Deacon Don Devaney for celebrating the Funeral Mass and for Fr. Frank Monks and Fr. Stan Deegan for also giving spiritual support to the family. For the beautiful music and singing thank you to Helen Glennon and  her talented family.

Thank you to PJ Darby Funeral Undertakers for their kind, sensitive, dignified and professional service. Thanks to all the grave diggers who prepared Brian’s resting place so well and to all the kind neighbours and friends and traffic marshals on the routes for the Removal and Funeral procession. We are truly grateful and humbled by your thoughtfulness.

A special word of thanks to our local health centre staff especially Dr. Brennan, Dr.. Moore, staff in Gildea’s Chemist, the doctors and nurses  of the Community Mental Health Team and all who cared for Brian with such kindness and compassion.

We are especially grateful for those who were with Brian immediately after his sudden passing, it gave us great solace. We thank the emergency services and the local Gardai for their sensitivity and professionalism.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to both Brian’s and our family members, friends, neighbours and well wishers for their exceptional support for Brian and our family both during his life and throughout the difficult days. For all the lovely food and refreshments over the many days at the family home and for those who helped in any way, your generosity and compassion gave us great strength. 

We hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our gratitude and appreciation to all concerned.The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.

First Anniversary Mass will take place in the Church of the Assumption, Kinnegad on Aug 17th at 7pm.
