We, the family of the late Charles Timoney, would like to acknowledge and thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us following our recent bereavement. We offer our heartfelt thanks to our extended family, close friends and neighbours, both in Luton and Donegal, who supported us in our time of need, for those who travelled long distances, sent mass cards and messages of condolences.
We would like to thank everyone who attended Mass at the Sacred Heart Church, Luton. To Sr Teresa for all her visits, giving us all comfort and support and Monsignor Kevin for coming out to Charles on the morning following his death.
We would especially like to thank both of Charles' beloved GAA clubs, to St Vincent's GAA Luton, for all their support, beautiful tributes, food and guard of honour, this brought us so much comfort in the days after Charles' death. To Naomh Brid GAA for the guard of honour, food and all the help from the club members setting up and serving the refreshments in the community centre after the funeral. This brought us great strength to know we had such a club community help us through our most difficult time.
To all our family that helped to get everything ready for Charles coming home, all the hours of serving refreshments and looking after us so well, thank you.
Thank you to Fr Adrian Gavigan for all his support throughout and celebrating a beautiful funeral Mass, Veronica and Jude for having the Church looking beautiful.
Thank you to Fr Vincent, Franciscan Friary, for all St Peregrine healing Mass intentions every week and the pure empathy and care he gave Charles throughout his illness and indeed all our family.
Thank you to Deane Conaghan for the beautiful music and Éireann for her beautiful singing.
We would like to thank Gregory and Mary McGrory (GMG) and staff for providing a bus service to and from the wake house over the two days, we will always remember your kindness.
Thank you to Jackie and Tara Carron Funeral Directors for coming to Luton and bringing Charles home to his beloved Donegal and carrying out all the funeral services in such a dignified and professional manner. To the gravediggers, thank you.
We will be forever in your debt to our sister, Caeleigh, for the phenomenal effort working on Daddy until the paramedics arrived.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as an expression of our deepest gratitude.
