With loving memories, we, the Daly family, would like to thank most sincerely all who supported us throughout Christy’s illness. We want to thank sincerely all of those who remembered him in their prayers, who attended his wake, Funeral Mass and burial. We appreciate all of the telephone calls, messages of condolence and cards and those who shared memories of Christy with us.
We are indebted to all of the doctors, nurses and medical staff especially Dr. Adamik and everyone at Waterville Medical Centre, Mervyn from Waterville Pharmacy and Dr. Murray and his team from University Hospital Kerry. We are also so grateful to everyone at the Oncology unit and the Palliative Care Team who enabled us to care for Christy at home.
A very special thank you to Fr. Finucane, Fr. Broderick and Fr. Kerin for the beautiful Funeral Mass, and to Joan Collins for the beautiful hymns and music. We thank Liz Dwyer and Gerard Curran from O’Dwyer Undertakers for their compassionate guidance and invaluable help throughout the funeral. Thank you to Jack Fitzgerald for the use of the Funeral Home and the gravediggers for preparing his final resting place.
We would like to thank our extended family, neighbours and friends who brought food and helped with the organisation and traffic management on the day of the funeral and days leading up to it.
Thank you to everyone who travelled long distances to be with us on the day. We appreciate everyone who stood out as his funeral cortege passed by and all of his former work colleagues who formed a guard of honour at his removal.
To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable, please accept our acknowledgement as a sign of our appreciation.
