The family of the late Connie Maguire, Lismonaghan, Letterkenny, who passed away peacefully on
12th September 2024, would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who sympathised with
us on the recent loss of our beloved husband, brother, father and grandfather Connie.
Thank you to everyone who attended the wake and Funeral Mass, those who travelled long
distances, watched online, sent Mass Cards, Sympathy Cards, telephoned, sent messages and made
Charitable donations in Connie’s name. Please know that we appreciate each one of you.
We will be eternally grateful and offer our heartfelt thanks to our family, friends and neighbours for
their unending support and help during the wake and funeral.
We would like to thank the Grave diggers, and a special thanks to Paschal Blake funeral services for
their kindness, guidance, support and exceptional professionalism throughout the wake and funeral.
Thanks to the ambulance personnel and the Garda Siochana for their compassion and support, to
Monsignor Kevin Gillespie for his kind words, and a special thanks to Father Damien Nejad and the
singers for officiating and providing the beautiful music for the Funeral mass. Thanks to Macs Deli,
The Mount Errigal Hotel and to Brian Kelly for your lovely graveside rendition of Letterkenny Town.
To our wonderful neighbours and friends, in particular Charlie and Madeline McAteer, Pat Conaghan,
Jim and Ann Rodgers, Violet Ashe, The Bonnar family, Yvonne Cleary and Noreen Cullen, we would
like to extend our heartfelt thanks for the incredible support and kindness shown to us during this
difficult time. Your visits, words of comfort, meals, and thoughtful gestures have meant more to us
than words can express. Your presence and assistance have helped lighten the burden of our grief,
and we are deeply grateful for the sense of community and care you have surrounded us with.
Please know that your kindness will never be forgotten, and we are truly blessed to have such
wonderful people in our lives.
Connie would have been so proud of the guard of honour at St Eunan’s Cathedral from his
colleagues and friends in the ESB and from his much loved St Eunan’s GAA Club, as his funeral
cortege made its way to his final resting place, we as a family thank you and appreciate this very kind
gesture.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an
expression of our deepest appreciation.
“No farewell was spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew, and only God
knows why. We will always love you.”
Months Mind Mass will take place on Saturday, 19th October, at 10am in St Eunan’s Cathedral,
Letterkenny.
