ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND MONTHS MIND

Daragh’s months mind mass will take place on Saturday, April 13th, at 11am in St. Joseph’s Parish Church, Geevagh, Co. Sligo.

We, Daragh’s family would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for helping us through our recent bereavement. Thank you to those who visited the house, attended the funeral home, mass and cremation.  Those who sent cards, messages of condolence on RIP.ie and the many many people offering prayers for Daragh daily. To our relations and friends who dropped everything and travelled from far and near to support us at this time. Thanks to those who organised and participated in the beautiful and moving guard of honour from the GAA, Valley Rovers and Geevagh National School.

We wish to thank those who cared for Daragh during his illness and especially the nurses, doctors and staff at Northwest Hospice, Sligo. They took exceptional care of Daragh and could not do enough for him and us. We will be forever grateful. We are also grateful to Cancer Support, Sligo for providing therapies to Daragh and counselling especially for his children.

Thanks to Tommie and Teresa Shivnan for taking charge of all the funeral arrangements at a time when we didn’t know if we were coming or going and to Fr Laurence Cullen our P.P. who visited Daragh regularly. A most special thanks to our neighbour Fr Brian Conlon for gently guiding Ara and her children through this very difficult time.  We thank them both for the moving mass they celebrated for Daragh and also Martina Rynn for her music and singing.

We are indebted to our relatives, great friends, neighbours and community who supported us throughout Daragh’s illness. We received goodness and kindness from so many it’s impossible to numerate, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our gratitude. Mass will be offered for your intentions.
