David (Davy) NAUGHTON

 David (Davy) NAUGHTON

Dublin 9, Dublin

The family of the late David (Davy) Naughton of Drumcondra, who died on 1st March 2021, would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their great loss.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to his former ESB and trade union collegaues, the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time. For those who phoned, sent cards and messages of condolences, as well as those who made charitable donations, we are truly grateful.

A special word of thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Bon Secours Hospitals Glasnevin and to Keith Massey and his team from Rom Massey & Sons Funeral Directors.

To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.

When the doctor said your body's shot
and some just took to praying,
in David's eyes ideas shone
and you'd hear, "I'm only saying".

For colleagues, friends and family,
our troubles made the Man.
He's there for you to think it through
gently saying "let's make a plan".

When walls went up, and eyes went down,
agreement beyond grasping,
He saw the key to make it work,
Softly quip, "I'm only asking".
