The family of David Lyons wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who sympathised with us on our great loss.
Thank you to all our family, friends and neighbours who provided emotional and practical support to us during this most difficult and heartbreaking time.
For those who phoned, messaged, visited our home, travelled any distance to be with us, who provided food, helped at the house, sent mass cards and letters, posted condolences online, lit candles, visited the funeral home, attended the removal, service and burial and equally to those who couldn’t be present but kept us in their thoughts and prayers, we are truly grateful. It gave us great comfort to read all your kind words and see how deeply loved Dave was.
A special word of thanks to the nurses, doctors and extended staff of the Emergency Department in the University Hospital Limerick and in particular to the paramedics of the Ambulance Service for their huge effort and care.
Sincere thanks to the funeral directors of Harnett's Funeral Home in Abbeyfeale for their compassion, guidance, professionalism and accommodation while handling the arrangements.
To Fr Mullane for his comforting and considerate service and everyone who contributed and helped during the mass.
Thanks to the team in the Devon Inn Hotel, Templeglantine for the food and refreshments after the burial.
To all of Dave’s friends, neighbours and close relations – we are deeply grateful for your care, kindness, support, friendship and visits to him over the years.
To those who helped in any way, your contribution helped comfort us in our unbearable grief. Your sympathy and kindness will long be remembered.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone who has supported us and continues to support us individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest and most sincere gratitude.
Dave, Davey, Dad, Pop – we miss you so much but you are always in our hearts.
David’s Month's Mind Mass will be held on Saturday 9th December at 7.30pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Tournafulla.
