 Derek McGrath

Laghey, Donegal

The family of the late Derek McGrath wishes to extend their sincere thanks for the many expressions of sympathy following their recent bereavement.

A very special word of thanks to Michael McGarrigle for being there that morning. To the paramedics and ambulance crew, Dr McGill from Millrow Family Practice, An Garda Siochana, Jackie of Jackie Carron Funeral Directors and all who assisted at the roadside, thank you.

We would like to thank all who attended the wake and funeral, those who traveled long distances, sent messages of support, cards, online messages of condolences, watched the funeral online and sent floral tributes. Also, those who helped out in the house, making numerous cups of tea, those who brought food and refreshments, we appreciate your time and generosity.

Sincere thanks to Fr Adrian Gavigan for visiting our home, reciting the Rosary and celebrating a beautiful funeral Mass and graveside prayers.

To everyone who took part in the celebration of the Mass in any way, those who took up gifts to represent Derek's life , offeratory gifts, did readings and prayers of the faithful. Those who helped carry the coffin, to the Eucharist ministers, sacristans, Veronica and Jude, to the gravediggers, Paul and Cathal for preparing Derek's final resting place, to Greg, Mary and staff of The Rambling House for refreshments after the funeral.

Our grateful thanks to Jackie and Tara Carron of Jackie Carron Funeral Directors, for arranging Derek's Funeral in such a caring and professional manner.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as an expression of our deepest gratitude.

Derek's months mind Mass will be held on Saturday, 19th August, in St Brigid's Church, Ballintra, at 6.30pm.
