On the first anniversary of Dermot’s death, Mary, Fiona, Grainne (Alexander), Anne (Casey), Raymond, Deirdre (Dalton) and Kevin would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on our bereavement.
Our heartfelt thanks to our extended family, friends, colleagues and neighbours who visited our home, the funeral home and attended Dermot’s Requiem Mass – your presence and support were of great comfort to us. For all the telephone calls, text messages, flowers, letters, cards, and messages of condolence, we are truly appreciative.
A special word of thanks to Dr. Gerard Fay, Ms Claire Saunders and the staff of the Moate Ward at Naas Hospital for their wonderful care for Dermot in his final days; to the District Commissioners and Members of Newcastle Lyons Pony Club for their Guard of Honour on the morning of Dermot’s funeral; to all those who participated in Dermot’s Requiem Mass especially our celebrant, Fr. Alex Kochatt, Owen C. Lynch and James Sheeran for their beautiful music, and grandchildren Serena, Mark, Ellen, Olivia, Anna and Daisy for their Prayers of the Faithful; to our Undertaker, George Mullins for his professional and sensitive handling of the funeral arrangements; and to Megan Mathews, Orla Geraghty, Irina Scully, Jane Fallon, Ellen Walsh, Patricia Dunne and Paddy O’Neill who kept the home fires burning!

Dermot’s first anniversary will be remembered on Sunday, 18 September 2022, at 11am Mass, in the Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas, Co, Kildare.
