The family of the late Eileen Kennedy, who passed away peacefully on 26 February 2023, would like to convey our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised in any way following our sad loss. We greatly appreciate all the letters, telephone calls, Mass cards, floral tributes and the messages of condolence on RIPie, Ocean FM and Daly’s Donegal. Sincere thanks to Michael Daly for the lovely tribute published on his Facebook page.
We offer our heartfelt thanks to all those who visited her home and to those who attended the Funeral Mass, some of whom travelled long distances from the North, South, East and West of the country. Thank you to family, very good friends and neighbours who so kindly provided food and refreshments over the duration of the wake.
A special word of thanks to the management, nurses and staff of Ballyshannon Community Nursing Unit for all their loving care and attention; doctors and staff at Bayview Family Practice; the staff at Áras Mhic Suibhne Nursing Unit, Laghey, for their kindness over the last number of years.
Our sincere thanks to the Very Rev. Ramon Canon Munster PP who spoke so fondly of her time as sacristan in St. Joseph’s Church and to Fr. Frank McManus PP and Fr. Dermott Burke who concelebrated; to all those who participated in the Mass; the choir and soloist Conor Carney; sacristans; readers and those who prepared the grave. We greatly appreciate your contribution to the Funeral Mass.
Finally, we would like to thank Patrick McKenna & Sons Funeral Directors, for their sensitive and professional support in handling the arrangements.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Eileen’s Month's Mind will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s Church, The Rock, Ballyshannon, on Sunday, 26 March at 10.00am.
