We, the family of the late Fr. Tom Greaney, O.S.M., who passed away on 25th September 2021, wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on the heartbreaking loss of our dear brother, uncle, grand uncle and cousin.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to our many relatives, neighbours and friends, who rang, called to our houses, sent Mass Cards, flowers from near and far, and offered their support to us. To the many condolence messages left on RIP.ie and Elmwood Chapel.

A special word of thanks to his Servite family at Our Lady of Sorrows Monastery in Chicago. To Fr. Chris, you were so good to us. All the phone calls keeping us updated on Fr. Tom’s illness, and afterwards when he had passed away. There were many phone calls and emails back and forth. You answered all our requests and questions about his Funeral Mass, and you kept us involved throughout. To Fr. Eugene and his fellow Priests and everyone involved in his Visitation, Funeral Mass and Burial in Chicago, thank you. To the videographer for the live stream of the Funeral Mass, thank you, this meant so much to us as we were unable to travel. To his nurses Emma, Joy and Laura we thank you most sincerely for the great care and compassion you gave Fr. Tom over the past few years.

To his doctors and nurses in the Intensive Care Unit and Hospice team in the Medical Centre in Hindsdale, Illinois, thank you for the care given to Fr. Tom during his final illness.

To Fr. Dermot Maloney and Fr. Ray Flaherty in Caherlistrane and Headford, thank you for praying for Fr. Tom during your Masses.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our sincere gratitude to everyone. The holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered up for your intentions.
