Frank O’Driscoll
Lislee Court, Courtmacsherry
Acknowledgement and First Anniversary
19th June 2020
On this, the First Anniversary of Frank’s passing, I, Philomena his wife along with his brothers Paddy, Willie, Finbarr, Martin and Gerard, sisters Marian, Eileen and Ann, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces and nephews would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all who sympathised with us following his untimely departure. We offer our heartfelt thanks to our extended families, wonderful neighbours, friends and relatives who supported us on our sad loss.
While Covid restrictions of the time did not afford everybody the opportunity to pay their respects in person, we would like to acknowledge with gratitude the many expressions of sympathy we received through the numerous Mass cards, sympathy cards, perpetual enrolments, letters of sympathy, emails, texts, telephone calls and condolence messages on RIP.ie.
We are sincerely grateful to our many kind friends and neighbours who stood by the roadside to bid their farewell to Frank on his final journey from his home to the Sacred Heart Church in Courtmacsherry and afterwards to his final resting place in Lislee Cemetery. Your presence and support was felt and greatly appreciated.
A special word of thanks to Frank’s work colleagues at Barryroe Co-Op who led his cortege through the village and who also, along with his retired colleagues provided a guard of honour at the Church and Lislee Cross. Frank would have been so proud. We would also like to thank those who helped with the traffic flow on these journeys.
Sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of GB ward CUH for the wonderful care they gave Frank during his short stay.
Thank you to Fr. Sibi - Joseph Arackal for celebrating Frank’s Mass. We would especially like to thank John Michael Foley and staff of Foley Funeral Directors for their professionalism, guidance and support.
I, Philomena, would like to thank Frank’s work colleagues who came to visit him when he was ill. A special thank you to all those who provided food and refreshments and called to my home, it was greatly appreciated. I am extremely indebted to my kind neighbours, Frank’s friends and all who offered their support at the time of his passing and continue to do so, for this I am eternally grateful.
Finally, I would like to offer my heartfelt thanks to my work colleagues in the HSE for all their kindness and support throughout this very sad and difficult year.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our sincere gratitude and appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
Sadly, missed along life’s way, quietly remembered every day. No longer in our life to share, but in our hearts, you’re always there.
Frank’s First Anniversary Mass will be celebrated in the Star of the Sea Church Barryroe at 11am on Sunday, June 20th, 2021.
