Gavin’s mam Ann, dad Joe, brothers William, Stephen & Robert, sister Joanne & all our family would like to thank, from the bottom of our hearts, each & every person who offered comfort, sympathy & support at the sudden & heartbreaking loss of our dear Gavin.
Thank you to everyone who visited our home, attended Gavin’s removal, funeral Mass & burial, those who travelled long distances to be with us & those who couldn’t be present but joined us via livestream, to those who sent Mass cards, shared kind messages & thoughtful tributes online, those who stood out to honour Gavin’s final journey & those who donated generously to Sunbeam House Services www.sunbeam.ie in Gavin’s memory.
Our sincere thanks to Dr. Nick Buggle & all the team at Sheltonville Surgery & to all the medical professionals who helped Gavin throughout his journey.
Special thanks to Fr. Pádraig Ó’Cochláin for his comforting prayers & guidance & to Naoimh, Amy & Leah Penston whose music brought such beauty to Gavin’s Funeral Mass.
Thank you to Gavin’s many friends from the Arklow Vikings for their Guard of Honour & to all those from Sunbeam House Services who were such a big part of Gavin’s life.
To our own extended families, our colleagues, neighbours & friends & to Gavin’s “other family” - his lifelong neighbours in Fernhill, we will never forget your kindness, your support & the love & esteem in which you held our beloved Gavin.
Thank you also to the management & staff of the Arklow Bay Hotel for their hospitality after the funeral, to Bill & Tom from R.S.S. for tending to the grave & to all at John Sweeney & Sons Funeral Directors.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Gavin’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 22nd January at 11.30am in St.’s Mary & Peter’s Church & those who cannot attend are welcome to join via the parish webcam
