Greta Lawlor

 Greta Lawlor
(née McGuinness)

Bray, Wicklow / Kiltimagh, Mayo

Greta’s husband Michael, daughter Erin, grandchildren Ava and Clodagh, son-in-law Kevin, together with her extended family wish to express their most heartfelt thanks for the kindness and support shown to them during Greta’s funeral and in the weeks since.

While the restrictions of the time did not afford many people the opportunity to pay their respects in person, we are most grateful for the lovely cards, letters, phone calls, texts and online messages we received.

Sincere thanks to all those who joined in the online celebration of Greta’s Funeral Mass, joined us at the cemetery, to those who kept us in their thoughts and prayers, and to those who made donations in Greta’s memory to Our Lady’s Hospice, Blackrock. We are very grateful.

The family wish to thank Professor Ray McDermott, the staff of the Oncology Day Care and the Cedar Ward of SVPH and the staff of Our Lady’s Hospice, Blackrock, for the wonderful care and attention afforded to Greta.

We gratefully appreciate the contribution to the Mass made by singer, Ross Scanlon, and organist, Will Woods, whose singing and music brought such beauty to the celebration of Greta’s life.  We also wish to thank the Priests and Sacristan of Greystones Parish for being so kind and accommodating.

A special word of thanks to Fr. Joe Kennedy from Mount Argus who celebrated Greta’s Funeral Mass.  We are so grateful to him for a lovely send off, for being so kind and considerate and for making the celebration of Greta’s life a memorable occasion.

Thanks also to all at Mark Kinsella Funeral Directors for their professional and kind support and to those who tended to the grave in Kilmacanogue Cemetery.

To our own extended families, our neighbours, friends and colleagues, your support, kindness, companionship and friendship are much appreciated, and will never be forgotten.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as an expression of our sincere appreciation.
