Hugh McPARLAND

 Hugh McPARLAND

Upper Faughart, Dundalk, Louth / Armagh

Hugh’s wife Ann, his children Karen and Kevin, grandson Joseph, sister Alice,
brothers Danny and John and all his extended family wish to extend our most
heartfelt thanks for the many kind expressions of sympathy and support we received
throughout our recent sad loss.

Hugh’s sudden passing has left a void that can never be filled, but we are grateful to
everyone who visited our home to convey their sympathies. Additionally, we are
thankful to everyone who attended Hugh’s Funeral Mass, burial and Months Mind Mass,
and to those who left comforting messages and shared their fond memories of Hugh
online. Thank you to those who sent Mass cards and condolence cards, those who
couldn’t be present for the funeral but joined us via webcam, and those who donated
generously to the Irish Heart Foundation in Hugh’s memory.

Special thanks to the first responders in Dundalk and the Emergency Room team in
Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, for their efforts and the compassion shown
on the day that Hugh passed away.

We are grateful to Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Ard Mhacha Stewards and Dowdallshill
GF & AC members for the moving tributes they paid to Hugh on the day of the
Funeral Mass, and for their work in directing traffic and managing parking during the
wake. We are also appreciative of the support we received from Faughart
Community National School and Kilcurry Resource Centre.

Thank you also to Fr. Vinod Kurian for leading the Funeral Mass, and Fr. Oliver
Stansfield for his prayers. We are grateful to all the team at St. Brigid’s Church,
Kilcurry and to the choir and musicians in the Church for providing such beautiful
music for the Funeral Mass.

To our own extended families, friends, neighbours and colleagues, those who
brought food and looked after visitors, the care and support shown to us is much
appreciated and will never be forgotten. Your continuing compassion is deeply
appreciated by us all.

Thanks also to all the staff at Quinns Funeral Home, Dundalk especially Annette and
Gerard for their compassion and professionalism at a very difficult time.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this
acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered up for the intentions of all.
