James (Jim) Evans

 James (Jim) Evans

Templelusk, Avoca, Wicklow

The family of the late James (Jim) Evans, beloved husband of Margaret, loving dad of Margaret, Janet, Leslie and Joyce, sons-in-law Leo and Pat, grandchildren Alex and Zoe and extended family, wish to express our sincere gratitude for the kindness, sympathy and support we received at the time of Jim's sudden and sad passing.

Thank you to everyone who called to Jim's home, to our neighbours who formed a guard of honour as Jim left his home for his final journey, to all who attended the funeral service and burial, to those who sent sympathy cards, Mass cards and shared happy memories and warm messages on RIP.ie and for the beautiful floral tributes.

Thank you to all who helped during this difficult time, to those who brought food, to the ladies who helped serve refreshments and to the men who helped with the parking and the many other tasks at the time.

We wish to thank the Paramedics and the emergency team of St Vincent's Hospital whose skill, compassion and kindness brought us great comfort on the night Jim slipped away.

Thank you to the caring team in Arklow Medical Practice for the great care for Jim over the years and to John and the staff of Avoca Pharmacy.

Thank you to Canon George Butler, Fr Diarmuid Byrne , Rev John Tanner  and Alan Pierce for their kind prayers.

Sincere thanks to Rev Suzanne Harris for celebrating such a beautiful funeral service and for her continued support to us throughout the weeks since.

Thank you to  the church wardens, to Margaret for her beautiful music and to all who helped in Castlemacadam on the day of the funeral.

Thank you to Martin and Terry of John Doyle & Son funeral directors on the professionalism, kindness, respect and dignity shown to Jim and his family at the time of the funeral.

Thank you to the grave diggers who tended to the grave.

Thanks to the Management and Staff of the Woodenbridge Hotel for their hospitality after the funeral.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as an expression of our deepest appreciation for your support.
