Acknowledgement and First Anniversary - 15th February.
Jarlath's wife Monica, daughter Nicola, sons Darragh, Michael and Conor, son-in-law Maurice, daughters-in-law Pearl and Patria, grandchildren Riain, Maya, Eily, Millie, Abhainn and Evie, together with Jarlath's sisters Marion, Una and Michelle, brother Louis and extended families, wish to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of sympathy, gestures of kindness and support from wonderful friends, neighbours, Jarlath's former colleagues and clients and our community over this past year, which continues to this day. They have been a great source of comfort at a very sad time
We wish to thank all the medical professionals who took great care of Jarlath during his illness. Thank you to Dr. Silvie Blazkova, her team and all the staff in the Oncology Department at University Hospital Galway and to the staff in Ward B at Mayo University Hospital.
Heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Mayo Hospice for the comfort and dignity they provided Jarlath and to the palliative care team who looked after Jarlath at home in his final weeks as was his wish. Thanks also to Dr Patricia Keane and team and to our local pharmacist Gary Smyth and staff members.
To all who visited our home, the funeral home, attended Jarlath's removal, funeral mass and burial who provided emotional and practical support at this difficult time, thank you. We appreciate those who travelled long distances to be with us and those unable to attend the funeral, but joined us online. A special thank you to his dear friends who were so good to him and were with him on his last few days and nights at home in Gortgarve.
A sincere thank you for the telephone calls, mass and sympathy cards, enrollments, letters, texts and floral tributes. We are very thankful for the messages and condolences posted online, we take comfort from the warm tributes and shared memories. Thank you to those who made donations to Mayo Hospice and the St Vincent de Paul Society in Jarlath's memory. To those who brought food and refreshments to our home, we thank you, your kindness and generosity is very much appreciated.
Thank you to all who stood out as Jarlath left home on his final journey and to Kiltimagh G.A.A. Club for the presentation of a club flag, and to all the club members who formed a guard of honour from our home to the Church and again from the Church to the graveyard.
A sincere thank you to Fr. Michael Quinn for arranging and celebrating Jarlath's requiem mass and to the concelebrants, Fr. Pat Lynch and Fr. Stephen O'Mahony. To Deacon Martin Lynch and sacristan James McHugh, thank you for your kind assistance. Our heartful thanks to the Kiltimagh Parish Church Choir and to Richella and Mary for the beautiful music and singing. We are eternally grateful to all who took part in the mass, it was a fitting tribute to Jarlath. A sincere thank you to the pallbearers who together with family members carried Jarlath to his final resting place.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deep appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.
First anniversary mass will be offered for Jarlath on Saturday, 17th February, at 10am in the Church of the Holy Family, Kiltimagh
