Jimmy Grangel, Ballyroe Lower, New Ross, Co. Wexford, who passed away peacefully on Thursday 4th August 2022. (Predeceased by his loving sister Mary Browne (née Grangel). Jimmy’s wife Frances, sons and daughters Eileen, Jamie, Paul, Jennie and Mariclair, grandchildren Melissa, Sarah, Karen, Sadhbh, Dáire, Aoife, Rían, Oscar and Ollie, brother Michael, sister-in-law Carmel, brother-in-law Brendan, nieces, nephews and extended families would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their sad bereavement. Thank you to all those who visited the funeral home and attended the church and cemetery, those who sent mass cards, text messages, sympathy cards, letters of sympathy and those who left beautiful messages of condolences on rip.ie and to all those who travelled from near and far.

We would like to acknowledge the wonderful care and attention given to both Jimmy and our family by the doctors, nurses, carers and catering staff at Waterford University Hospital, to Northgate Medical centre and to Ann Bowman at Waterford University Hospital Mortuary.  

Thank you to Msgr. Joe McGrath P.P, to Joanne Cooney and staff for their care and professionalism and the gravediggers. A very special word of thanks to the Active Retirement Choir for their beautiful music during the funeral mass and to all the Active Retirement Group for their guard of honour.

A very special word of thanks to all our great friends and neighbours who supported and helped us in every way possible. Their outstanding kindness and generosity will always be remembered and appreciated. As we cannot thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our gratitude and appreciation. Jimmy’s months minds mass will take place on Sunday 4th September 2022 at 12noon in St. Mary & Michael’s Parish Church, New Ross.
