Joan Crowley
9 Connolly Street, Bandon
13th December 2022
On Joan’s first anniversary, her daughter Ger, son-in-law Declan, grandchildren Kellie, Mel, Ryan, Caitlin and Megan, grandson-in-law Mark, and great grandsons Eoin, Thomas and Tadhg, wish to express our sincere gratitude for the great kindness and support shown to us at the time of Mam’s illness and funeral.
We would like to thank our extended family, our kind neighbours and Mam’s many friends who helped us greatly in the days and weeks after her death.
We wish to thank all those who sympathised with us, telephoned, sent Mass cards, letters, sympathy cards, gifts and floral tributes.
We are so grateful for the many beautiful messages of condolence left on RIP.ie , for those who brought food, those who visited with us and for the many who shared stories and wonderful memories of Mam.
We wish to acknowledge with sincere gratitude the excellent care Mam received from the staff in Bantry General Hospital. We would especially like to thank the staff in the Palliative Care Unit for the kindness and respect they showed to Mam and us, her family in her final days.
Sincere thanks to Robert, Helen, Rosemary and Clodagh Gabriel of Gabriel and O’Donovan Funeral Directors for their kindness, thoughtfulness and professionalism with the funeral arrangements.
We would like to thank Fr. Newman who visited with us, prayed with us and celebrated Mam’s funeral Mass.
We would like to thank Angela Ryan for providing beautiful music and songs during the Mass and for her very moving singing at the graveside.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our appreciation and gratitude.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
The moment that you died our hearts were torn in two,
One side filled with heartache, the other went with you.
I often lay awake at night when the world is fast asleep,
And take a walk down memory lane, with tears upon my cheeks.
Remembering you is easy, I do it every day,
But missing you is a heartache that never goes away.
I hold you tightly within my heart and there you will remain,
Until the joyous day arrives that we will meet again.
We take great comfort in knowing that Joan is reunited with her beloved husband and darling daughter.
