With Love we remember our cherished Joe who's first anniversary occurs on the 30th of January 2024. His Wife Frances, Children Noel Assumpta & Stephen, Daughters-in-law Linda & Jennifer, Son-in-law Thomas, Grandchildren Aoife, Ciara, Kate & Daniel and Aoife's Husband Mike offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours, relatives and well-wishers who visited our home, attended the wake, service and burial and who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time.

 

For those who telephoned, travelled long distances, especially Joe's grandaughter's best friend Kate, who travelled to be with Joe and his family, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences, as well as those who made charitable donations, we are truly grateful.

 

A special word of thanks to the staff in The Mercy stroke unit thank you for the exceptional care you gave to Joe .

 

To the Nurses and caregivers of Ballynoe care choice nursing home, thank you for the love and care you gave to Joe we will be forever grateful for the care ye gave to him and also your kindness to his family.

 

To Frances's long life friends Josie and Eileen for the never ending support and friendship

 

To Dr Tom English Broadlane family Practice thank you for always making sure Joe got the best of care and treatment.

 

To Coughlan's Funeral directors, especially Joe and Dave, thank you for your guidance, kindness, support and ensuring Joe got the send off he deserved. We are extremely grateful to you both for everything you done for our family.

 

To Fr Aidan Vaughan, thank you for giving Joe such a beautiful ceremony and for your kindness to our family.

 

To Joe's daughter-in-law Linda, thank you for standing up for our family and giving such an exceptional eulogy capturing all the beautiful memories of Joe's wonderful life. 
 

To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

 

The First Anniversary Mass for Joe will be held on Sunday the 4th of February in the North Cathedral at 9am. All welcome.
