John Amond

Bawnree House,

Ballygowan,

Milford,

Co. Carlow

John’s wife, Deirdre and his daughters, Fenella, Niamh and Gráinne (McDonald), together with the extended Amond family, would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on John’s recent sad passing, all those who sent mass cards, messages, letters of sympathy and condolences on RIP.ie, all those who called to the house and all those who attended John's funeral mass.
A special word of thanks to all who lovingly looked after John at home and also to the staff in the Nore Ward at St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny who showed such compassion, care and respect to John in his final weeks. To Fr. Pat Hennessy, P.P., Rev. Patrick Roche and Fr. Tom Lalor for the lovely funeral Mass, celebrating John’s life and to the singers Joan (Butler), Noreen and Marie Farrell for their beautiful singing. To Ballinabranna GFC for the kind guard of honour and fitting send-off John would have wanted - thank you.

We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to family, friends, neighbours, and to John’s many friends, who have supported us so kindly at this sad time and for the ongoing support we all have received since John’s passing.

A special thank you to Carpenter Bros. Funeral Directors, especially to Marc Carpenter, for his exceptional care and support to our family at such a difficult time.

John is deeply and sadly missed by all, and will always be remembered as the kind and loving family and community man he was. He will be forever in our hearts.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement may be accepted by all with our sincere appreciation and gratitude.  The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.

John's Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Fintan’s Church, Ballinabranna, on Friday, 15th March 2024, at 7:30p.m.
