John Mc Namara,

41 Thornhill, Sligo and formerly of Cavan and late of John Mc Namara Hardware, High Street, Sligo, died August 10th 2022.

John’s wife Noreen, daughter Sinéad, sons Colin, Ronan and Kieran, together with their extended family, would like to express heartfelt gratitude to all who sympathised with them on their recent sad bereavement. Our sincere thanks to our wonderful friends, neighbours and work colleagues for their help and support. Thanks to those who sent Mass Cards, letters, tributes and donations and to all who telephoned. Thank you to all who attended the reposing at our home, to all who joined us online and in spirit for John’s Funeral Mass, to those who listed their personal condolences online and those who attended the burial. A special word of thanks to the staff of The North West Hospice Sligo for their exceptional care and support and to the doctors, nurses and staff of the oncology wards, Sligo University Hospital, who cared for John during his illness. Thank you to the staff of Lannon Late Night Pharmacy, Carraroe.

A sincere thank you to Fr. A B O’Shea for celebrating a beautifully fitting Funeral Mass and to Fr. John Joe Gannon for concelebrating. Thank you to musicians Collette Sheerin, Anna Houston, Eamonn Lawless and our Sunday Music Group for their beautiful music and song which enhanced the Mass. Thank you to Saint Mary’s GAA Club for their guard of honour and to An Garda Síochana for their escort on the day.

Our thanks to Seán, Susan, Brendan and Francis, and all at Seán Feehily’s Funeral Services, Cartron Cross, Sligo, for their professional services and personal attention to the funeral arrangements and thanks to the sacristan and the gravediggers. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

        Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 10th, at 10.30am in The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Sligo.
