The family of the late John V. Mac Cabe wish to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy shown to us following Jack’s death. We would like to thank most sincerely all the carers who cared for him so lovingly at home during his illness. A special word of thanks to Dr. Sarah O’Brien for the outstanding care she provided to Jack at all times but particularly in his final weeks with us. We are also extremely grateful to Mr. Hubert Gallagher and his team at the Beacon Hospital, Mr. Marcus Timlin and his team at the Mater Hospital Spinal Unit and the Louth Palliative Team for the excellent care they provided to Jack. The generous assistance given by the staff at the Maxol Service Station, Dublin Road, Dundalk was greatly appreciated. Thank you also to Rock Celtic FC and the School Boys League for providing a guard of honour. Our appreciation to Fr. Padraig Keenan P.P. Haggardstown & Blackrock for his pastoral care which was a great comfort to Dympna. We would also like to say thank you for the many visitors to Greaghglass and for all the letters, calls, Mass cards, prayers, messages of condolence and home cooked meals received, which were a great support during a sad time. A final word of thanks and appreciation to everyone who shared with us their memories of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
