Josie Gahan (nee Aylward) Tinlough, Kilmacow,  Co. Kilkenny and formly of, Bawnagelogue, Who passed away suddenly at her home on  Saturday 20th July 2024.

 

Husband Ned, son’s Declan, Paddy, Ned, Daughter’s, Anita & Breda wish to express their sincere thanks for the many condolences, help, support & kindness shown to them all at Josie’s sudden passing. 

 

The family would like to express the following: 

The numerous mass cards, messages, phone calls and everyone who called to the house, we appreciated it very much.  Special thanks to our many friends, wonderful neighbours for their endless supply of food & confectionery.

 

Throughout many years, Josie was assisted by many home help carers.  We thank them all for their vocation.  But in particular Margaret Delahunty who was at Josie’s side from the beginning.  The endless chats and local news was always something Josie looked forward to each day.

 

To the ambulance crews that came to help Josie, we cannot thank them enough and thank them for their vocation.

 

To Dr. Sean McBrin & all the staff at Waterford Medical Centre for their work throughout many years that Josie attended the practise.

 

To Fr. Martin Tobin who celebrated mass. We thank him for his kind words, help, support & prayers.  Fr. Liam Barron who helped Fr. Tobin.  Josie being from Mullinavat, it was comforting to have him there.

 

Megan Butler for her beautiful singing which made the mass more meaningful.

 

To Kilmacow Parish Hall, the Catering Committee for their refreshments served following the Mass.  Sincere thank you.  A wonderful facility to have and it’s volunteers.

 

To Donnacha Doyle & Son’s Funeral Directors, we thank Donnacha, Lisa, their team for their guidance, kindness & professionalism shown to us.

 

To everyone who made a charity donation to Irish Wheelchair Association, we are very grateful.  We thank the IWA for their support to Josie over the year’s.  The wonderful trips and new friends made.

 

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

 

Josie’s Month’s Mind Mass will take place on Sunday 8th September 2024 at 11.15am in St. Senan’s Church, Kilmacow.  Mass can also be viewed through https://kilmacowparish.com
