Kathleen and Sean Canavan

 Kathleen and Sean Canavan
(née Dixon)

Myshall, Carlow

John, Edward, Raymond, Michael and Eugene, the sons of the late Sean and Kathleen Canavan, Coolasnaughta, Myshall, Co. Carlow, wish to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who expressed their sympathy and kindness shown to us following our very sad loss.

We are forever grateful to our family, especially our aunts Sr. Fidelma and Patricia and her family, our uncles Jim, Eddie and Gerry and families, for their continued help and support, which is overwhelming, even when they are grieving the loss of a sister.

To the extended Dixon and Canavan families, to our relations, friends, neighbours and work colleagues, who visited the funeral home from near and far and who attended the Requiem Mass, thank you.

To all who could not attend in person we were comforted in the knowledge we were in your thoughts on those most difficult days. We want to thank Dr. McGovern, the nurses and staff of the Nore Ward in St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny, as the kindness, care and attention given to mam and to ourselves was very touching and much appreciated.

We would also like to thank Edmond Kearney for his professionalism, kindness and support, also the grave diggers and the lone piper, thank you.

To the Myshall Hall Committee, thank you for the help and the delicious refreshments after the burials, and those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable over the difficult days.

A special word of thanks to Fr. Tom Lawlor for the lovely Mass and kind and reassuring words.

As it's impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our heartfelt appreciation.

The holy sacrifice of the mass will be offered for your intentions.

1st Anniversary Mass for Sean and Kathleen will be held on Tuesday, the 15th August, at 10am in the Church of The Holy Cross, Myshall, Co. Carlow.
