 Kathleen O'Connell
(née Mernagh)

Meadowvale & formerly of Main Street, Arklow, Wicklow / Gorey, Wexford

Kathleen’s children, Frank, Carmel, Eugene, Michael, Gary, Jackie & Mandy and her extended family wish to extend their warmest thanks for all the many kind expressions of condolences & support they received throughout Kathleen’s funeral & during the time since.

Thank you to our family, neighbours and friends who were in a position to make a social distant visit, also thank you to those who couldn’t attend but sent beautiful flowers, cards, letters & touching online messages, to those who joined in Kathleen’s funeral mass via the parish webcam & to those who paid their respects at the graveside.

Special thanks to the doctors, nurses & caring staff at St. Vincent’s hospital who cared for Kathleen in her final days, to the doctors and staff at Dr Bentley’s Surgery, the staff at First Choice Pharmarcy (Tesco) and the health care nurses for their great care & kindness to Kathleen during the years.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to her care givers Urusal Hillard and Catherine Martin who treated Kathleen with the upmost kindness, care and dignity.

Our sincere thanks to Fr. David Brough for the lovely mass celebrating the life of Kathleen and for his help & support to us as a family.

To Matt Sharp and John Bonner for their accompaniment & to our truly talented cousin Karla Tracey for the beautiful singing.

Thank you to Sweeney’s Funeral Directors, especially Niamh, for their professionalism, care and attention of our beloved mother.

Thanks also to Bill & Joe from R.S.S. for tending to the grave.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a sincere token of our deepest gratitude.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.

Kathleen’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary’s and Peter’s Church, Arklow on Saturday 8th May at 6.30pm & all are welcome to join via the Arklow Parish Webcam

But you didn’t go alone,

For part of us went with you,

The day God called you home”
